Hello, hello, friends. Welcome back to another episode of the Praying Couple Podcast. We're your hosts Mike and Carly Kircheball. And today we are actually praying a prayer to trust God when everything is falling apart. One of the things that I want you to think about before we get into this is what in your life, if anything, right now, seems like it's out of control. Identify it. Look at it. Think about it right now. Is there something in your life that feels like it is falling apart where you're not sure what to do, how to do it? And as we go through this episode, I want you to hold on to that and I want you to release it to God so that He can show you exactly what you need to do with the things that are not going the way that you planned. Okay, Mike. So today's prayer is based on Proverbs 3, 5 and 6. Yes. Would you read that, please?
SPEAKER_00:Yes, I will. It says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Carlie K.:Amen. Now that verse is one that we hear all the time. I don't know about you guys, but when I was first coming to Christ, I remember, or when I first got saved, I remember this verse because one of the things that I didn't understand was how do you trust God? What does that look like? How do you do that? And especially how do you trust God when you can't see Him? So that's something I want you guys to think about and consider today as we pray. Are what are some ways, questions that you may have for God about trusting him? What does trust look like to you? And more importantly, are you trusting God when everything feels like it is going crazy?
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. Because there's a lot of times, even for me personally, where when it comes to trust, the tendency is one to base it upon how I'm feeling or what's going on. And God is saying right here to trust to him, know that he has it all under control. And for us, we have to shift that focus off of what we're maybe feeling or what things appear, but what he says, knowing that he is God, not us. God doesn't want us to be our own God, but we trust him, knowing that he knows what's best for us.
Carlie K.:Man, yes, that's good. And so again, right now, we are actually going through a season where we could feel like everything was falling apart. We just had a lot of changes. There's been a lot of changes that have come into our family um since this summer, and we are really trusting God, you know, and choosing to trust God is the priority here. Instead of giving in to the temptations or the thoughts to believe that everything is falling apart because it's not. So, okay, do you want to go ahead and kick this thing off?
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. God, we just come before you. Thank you. We ask you, God, that you will help us. Help us, God, to trust you in whatever it is that we're going through right now. God, we choose not to rely on our emotions or our feelings or what other people say about us. God, we choose to make your word the final authority in our lives. God, we choose to look to you, knowing, God, that you know what's best. God, we thank you for what you're doing in our lives. We thank you that you're building your character in us. God, we choose to trust you and to thank you as you're building us up in you. God, I just pray, God, that you will continually give us wisdom. You will continually direct our path. Show us what the next step looks like. God, we're not focusing on the outcome, but we're focusing on you. God, I just pray, God, that you will continually strengthen us, God. We need more of you. We choose to trust in you. God, we cry out to you. We know, God, that you're able to make all grace abound. We know, God, that you're able to soften the hearts of people. We know, God, that you are able to give us wisdom, give us your peace. And God, we are grateful. Carly and I, even the things that we're going through right now, we thank you. We trust you. God, we know that you know what's best for us. And so, God, we leave it in your hands. And with that, God, we choose not to think about it and worry or have anxiety, but we choose to rely on you and to access your peace, your joy, your love, your anointing, your presence. God, we praise you for all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. In Jesus' name.
Carlie K.:God, I just stand in agreement and I thank you for the honor that we have to come to you directly in prayer.
SPEAKER_00:Yes.
Carlie K.:It's such a privilege and a joy to be children of the Most High God. Lord, I thank you that we are able to choose to trust you when things seem to be just going everywhere but the way that we think that they should. God, I thank you for the tearing down of things right now, God, in the body of Christ. You are truly tearing down idols and things that do not honor you. And you are replacing them with your joy, with your goodness, with your truth, with your mercy, with your love. So, God, as you continue to build the temple that honors you, as you continue to use us, your people, to build your kingdom as you see fit, I pray, God, that you will empower us, that you will increase our faith as we draw near to you, Lord. Your word says that you will draw near to us. I thank you that you are increasing our faith, that you are ordering our steps, and that in this process, God, regardless of how we feel, what we think, and what we know to be true from the past, that we will trust you for our future. I praise you, Father God, for giving us the ability to come to you whenever we are afraid, whenever we are uncertain, whenever we're happy. We can come to you anytime when we're sad, God, when we're grateful. Help us to focus on you all the time, not just in the times of need, not just in the times of uncertainty, but help us to focus on you and trust you in all things, good and bad.
SPEAKER_00:Yes, God.
Carlie K.:I just submit to you, submit to your authority. I thank you for all the things that you're doing in and through your people. I pray right now, Father God, for the person listening today whose heart is heavy because truly they feel like their world has fallen apart, that you would raise them up by your mighty hand, that you would give them plentiful, plentiful opportunities to choose to praise you through the circumstances, but that you would also plant people and you would plant experiences in their lives that would glorify your name, divine connections, Father. I speak favor, divine connections, Father, favor for divine connections, hallelujah. You are rebuilding your house, God. You are cleaning the house, you are sifting us, God, so that we may present holy and pure as snow, white as snow. So, God, I just thank you for the opportunity to speak life, to speak your word, to pray, to draw near to you and to bring others with us as we go deep into your presence. We look forward to what you have for us today. We look forward to the instructions that you're giving us tomorrow, and we praise you for things to come and the fulfillment of your word. We trust you, Father, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen. Amen. So I just want to encourage you again that just know that when it seems like things are falling apart, usually that is a time where number one, God is giving us the opportunity to choose to obey Him. Yeah, He's saying, Okay, you have faith, you've trusted me up until this point. He's not causing these things to fall apart. He's that God is good. So just know that God is not sending bad things to you, He's not punishing you, God doesn't do that, but because of our choices, we get led to a certain place. It's kind of like with training, right? If you're an athlete, you can get to a certain place, but pretty soon a time's gonna come. You can train on your own, but without the help of a trainer who's gonna push your limits, without the help of teammates who are going to encourage you and pick you up when you're down. That's exactly what it is with these situations. We have gone as far as we can in this season. Our faith has taken us to a certain place. And now God's saying, Okay, my child, we're gonna we're gonna work this out together. Your faith is gonna be tested, your you know, perseverance is gonna be tested. What you're made of is gonna come to the surface, and then we will see where you're at. But he is gonna give you everything that you need and more if you will continue to trust him, even when it seems like everything in your world is falling apart.
SPEAKER_00:And for some of you out there, the biggest thing is while you're going through this, you might be tempted to give up, but don't give up. Keep fighting the good fight of faith. God wants us to keep relying on him. He knows where you're at. Don't ever forget that. He knows where he needs to bring you, and he will, but we must choose to trust him in the process.
Carlie K.:Amen. If this podcast has been a blessing to you, we ask that you would leave a review. It really helps.
