Hello, hello, friends. Welcome back to another episode of the Praying Couple Podcast. We're your hosts, Mike and Carly Kirchhoff. And today we are going to be praying a prayer for revival in your marriage. Today's prayer is based off of Ezekiel 37, verses 4 through 6. Mike, you want to read it for us?

Yes, and this is coming out of the NIV version, which says, Then he said to me, Prophesy to these bones and say to them, Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. This is what the sovereign Lord says to these bones. I will make breath enter you and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin. I will put breath in you and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

Amen. Well, before we go on, we just want to go ahead and just kind of talk about what revival means, just in case somebody out there isn't quite sure. So revival is really when something is coming back to life. It's when something is restored back to life. So that's the perspective that we're coming from in your marriage. Perhaps you're in a season right now where you feel like your marriage is dead or dying and it needs to be restored. This episode is definitely for you.

Yes. And within the scripture, notice prophesying is speaking life. It's important in our marriage that we speak life no matter what things appear, no matter how things seem like or how we feel, or what we're going through that day. God is saying, speak life, speak it into existence, speak his word, and allow God to come into your marriage and change things from the inside out. All right. Things you might be going through a certain season right now might appear to be hard in your marriage right now, but God's saying if we speak life, speak his word over your marriage, he will come in and he will cause things that may appear to be dry and make them whole and bring life to you within your marriage.

Amen. And that's good because it's good to note that when he says to prophesy to these bones, to speak to these bones, to these circumstances, that's an action word. He's not just saying, you know what, if you read this verse, this is what's going to happen for you. No, that's not it. You can read the verse and build your faith and understand that this is what God said he will do. This is what God actually did. He's done this before and he will do it again. And I think the awesome part about that is knowing that this is a partnership with God. That's right. Our marriage is designed first to have a partnership with God as individuals, and then as a married couple. And so when we go and in faith, we speak God's word out loud. We know what he's gonna do. He is going to bring it to pass. And in God's word, it's very clear. Yeah, it's life.

That's right, right?

Carlie K.: 3:12

It is life. The words of Jesus, their spirit, they are life to those who find them. Praise God, brothers and sisters. We have found the word of life.

That's right.

We have found the word of God. So revival is ours. When things start going, you know, sometimes we don't. We we, I don't know if you're a gardener. I am a gardener who is trying to get back into gardening, but we won't go into that right now. But what I will say is, I've killed some things lately, not enough water, right? I'm not, I didn't water some certain plants as often as they needed to be watered, and they died. And that was praise God, they're growing back. Okay, so you this it goes to show revival, reviving things, reviving your marriage is not an impossibility because with God, all things are possible. And I want you to take note that at the very end of that last verse that Mike read in verse six, the very last sentence says, Then you will know that I am the Lord. He's the one doing it. Okay. So know that any good thing, every good thing that happens in your life, your marriage, it is God. But we have to partner with him and we have to speak his word. So let's go ahead and pray. Father God, we just praise you, we glorify your name. You are such a good, good father. Yes. We thank you for the gift of revival. We thank you for the gift of dry bones and the ability to recognize it first, yes, to see it, and then to prophesy and speak your word over them. Right now, we prophesy, we speak your word over dry marriages everywhere, dry bones in marriages, whatever that may represent. For marriages that just have areas that they need to come back to life. Yes. I thank you for life-giving words being spoken over marriages right now that are activating greater communication, yes, healthier communication in marriage, God. I thank you, Father God, that as we speak and pray to these dry bones in marriages, God, that we are actually going to see the fruit of the spirit coming alive again in marriages all over the world. I thank you, Father God, that intimacy is being restored. I thank you, Father God, that relationships with you are being restored. I thank you, Father God, that the love that this couple that is listening to this podcast used to have is going to be restored, not only to its former glory, God, but it will surpass that because they are standing on the word of God, which tells us that if two agree is touching anything, that it shall be done.

So, Father God, we're just thanking you right now for marriages coming alive, God for them coming to understand that every good and perfect gift comes from above. It comes down from the Father of lights. So I speak life, I speak light into marriages, that your light would go forth and it would shine in the darkness, and it would give them the wisdom that they need to identify. Perhaps poor habits, God, maybe they're speaking words that are not life-giving. Show them that, God. Make it very evident in the light of Christ that they are not to do X, Y, and Z. And I thank you, Father God, that our brothers and sisters are coming into agreement with your word, with your light, God, with your witness of the Holy Spirit on the inside of them that is telling them, stop speaking death over your marriage. Speak life. I want it to live. I have called it to live. I have caused it to live. So God, I thank you that the blood of Jesus Christ, hallelujah, is saturating the listeners' ears right now. It is saturating them. God, they are feeling the flow of the Holy Spirit. They are understanding that my marriage was designed to thrive because it is for the it is for the glory of God.

So God, we thank you that in you there's no death, there's no darkness, there's no dry bones. In you is life.

So God, we thank you right now that you are restoring hearts and marriages around the world and you are causing them to live so that they will know that you are the Lord and they will go forth and they will testify about your name. In Jesus' name we pray.

SPEAKER_01: 7:13

And God, I just stand in agreement. I thank you for revival in marriages. God, regardless of what people are going through right now. Sometimes some people out there might be experiencing other people's words against their marriage. It doesn't line up with your word. God, I speak against that. And God, we come in agreement. We speak life over their marriage. We thank you, God, that you're able to make all grace abound. We thank you, God, that you can take the dry things and make them whole. We thank you, God, that you can bring nourishment and water and truth. What is it? It comes from Jesus Christ. God, we speak life. We come in an agreement into their marriage right now, whatever season they're going through. We speak your word over their marriage. We speak breakthrough. We spread, we speak healing, we speak the anointing of the Holy Spirit to flow in their marriage, whatever things that they need. We thank you, God, for you giving them a desire for their purpose within their marriage. We thank you. Some of them out there are you're using as pioneers that represent you. So, God, we speak life over that. We speak breakthrough. We thank you, God, that you're the God that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask, think, or imagine. God, we praise you, God, as we're going through the dry place in the valley. We thank you, God, you're building character in all of us in our marriage that points everyone back to Jesus. So, God, we thank you for revival. We thank you. We prophesy, we speak the word over marriages right now. We thank you, God, for breakthrough. I sense that people's faith is being stirred up on the inside. God, I just pray that you will continually heal their marriage and heal the lands. Whatever they might have experienced, whatever trauma, I thank you for you restoring and healing them now in the mighty name of Jesus.

Amen. Amen. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Lord, for revival. Thank you for your word. Thank you for the gift of prayer coming into agreement. Thank you for the gift of marriage, God.
