Hello everybody, how are you doing? We are back for another episode of the Praying Couple Podcast. We're your hosts Mike and Carly Kirchoville, and we're so grateful to be here with you today to do our favorite thing in the world to do together, and that is pray.

Today we're actually going to be tackling a subject that is a hard one for many people. Today we're going to be praying for healing from the spirit of rejection. One of the things that is very prevalent in our society today is people just canceling people, you know, people just judging everybody and quick to say things that are very unkind based on a split-second emotion or maybe you know some sort of a trigger. And sadly, it's tearing people down. And I mean the truth is, you guys, I don't know a single person out there who has not suffered from rejection in some form. But I want to give you an encouraging scripture today before we get started. A scripture that I know has healed my heart over the decades of rejection that I've received from family, from friends, from culture, from all over the place, really. Psalm 139, 13 and 14 in the ESV says, For you formed my inward parts. You knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works. My soul knows it very well. These words have resonated in my heart, in my mind, to the point of tears on I can't even count how many occasions when the enemy, that spirit of rejection, tries to come in and lie to me. I'm reminded of my father's love for me. And we pray today that this episode will do the very same for you. Michael, you want to share with us some more about rejection from the Bible?

Yes. Jesus Himself, he was rejected by his own people in his own hometown. Imagine him being the carpenter's son, interacting with people, but once he became, he walked into that uh rabbi and Lord, son of God, they rejected him. They only saw him as the carpenter's son. Also, the religious leaders, they did not, they rejected him. Because guess what? When he spoke, he spoke with power and authority.

So imagine the the the pain, the emotional scars that Jesus felt knowing people's thought about him in his own hometown.

Yeah, it's true.

And there are several instances where Jesus, he wanted to perform even more miracles. Even the guy at the at the tomb, they were like, Jesus, we don't want you to stay in this region. They were rejecting him. So if Jesus can feel rejection, we're definitely gonna continue to have to work through that, to resist rejection.

Yeah, that's what he did. He did that well. Jesus felt rejection on a level, you guys, if you really think about it, Jesus, it was his rejection that led to his death on the cross. Um, although we know it was an act of love and of sacrifice and you know, redemption, the greatest story ever told. But the events that led up to it were really stemming from that rejection.

They rejected his message, they rejected his authority, they rejected our Lord and our savior. So that rejection, if Jesus can experience that level of rejection in human form, he is showing us, he's setting a precedent to say people are gonna hate you. We know those scriptures tell us, because they hated me first. But also, he's given us through the Holy Spirit, the comforter, he has given us the wisdom, the authority, the tools, all of the things that we need in order to overcome this world and anything that it throws at us, including the spirit of rejection, because we know Satan is the God of this world. And that that's he's been overcome.

Praise you, Jesus. Thank you. All right, let's get started. Father God, we praise you. Yes, we worship you, we honor you. Yes, we thank you so much for the gift that you've given us to pray. Yes. The veil was torn on that day that Jesus died. When that first drop of blood hit the ground at Calvary, the veil was torn. Yes. No longer did I have to go through something else or someone else to get to you. You opened it up so that we could come straight to you, Father. And we don't neglect that. We don't neglect this privilege and this honor. Help us to constantly be reminded of the goodness of your glory, your mercy, your kindness, and your love. For truly, as the scriptures say, it is better than life. But God, in this world, we face a lot of rejection.

Specifically, I'm gonna pray right now for people who have been rejected by their families. I know all too well that feeling of rejection. I pray, Father God, right now for the hearts of those who are still bleeding out, who are hemorrhaging due to the rejection of their mother or their father. I pray right now in the name of Jesus that you will bind up their wounds and that you will help them to walk in the fullness of your glory. Yes. That they will never forget that you made them. You molded and shaped them. You had them in mind before they were even formed in their mother's womb. That it is no accident that they are here. Even if somebody in their family rejected them, even if their mother rejected them, even if their father rejected them. I pray in the name of Jesus right now that you will touch them by your Holy Spirit.

That you will touch them with your healing power, and that you will begin to remind them of whose they are.

They're yours. They're yours. I completely bind the grip of rejection on every believer's life that is listening to this prayer. Yes. I bind it in the name of Jesus and I loose the spirit of acceptance, the spirit of love that only comes through the Spirit of God. Yes. I thank you, Father God, that we have overcome the enemy, including the spirit of rejection, by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. I testify today that I have been made whole from rejection. I was rejected by so many family members, starting with my biological father, through my mother, my stepfather, through so many other family members that caused me tremendous pain growing up. Not only did I overcome that by the blood of the Lamb, but I'm here to testify today that I am walking in wholeness. I am walking in forgiveness. I am walking in wisdom. I am walking in authority. I am walking in the anointing.

And I'm so grateful, God, that you've given us this ability to be healed. God, the spirit of rejection, I just see it as something that is that is lingering over the body of Christ today. It's causing so much division. Everybody's worried that somebody else is going to reject them. So we're putting up walls. So I pray right now in the name of Jesus that the walls that the spirit of rejection is built will come tumbling down.

That they will be exposed for the lies that they are, and that your people will access your healing power. Your healing power. I decree and declare in the name of Jesus that the body of Christ is being made whole by the blood of the Lamb.

I decree and declare those who don't know you yet will begin to see the wholeness that's taking place within the walls of the church and outside of the walls of the church. Because Lord, I know that we are the church.

So I thank you that your healing power is permeating outside of us. Yes. Those of us that are saying yes to your word, yes to your forgiveness, yes to your healing, and rejecting the spirit of rejection. I reject the lies of the enemy. Right now I do and declare in the name of Jesus that those listening to this reject the lies of the enemy.

I thank you, God, that you've given us that authority through your name. You said, God, that we have the been given the authority to cast out devils. Yes. You said that we are above and not beneath. Hallelujah. That we have given the power, you have given us the power to tread on the head of the serpent.

I thank you for this, God. So, Lord, I just thank you today and every day that we can walk in victory, knowing that our Father accepts us, receives us, and loves us with an everlasting love that we can never earn. It is for your glory we praise your name.

God, I just come before you. God, there's there's people out there right now that have felt rejection from society, that has felt rejection from the workforce, that has felt rejection even in their own culture, that has felt rejection from neighbors, from family members. God, it hurts. I pray, God, that you will help your people to see past the pain and to rely on your grace, your love, your mercy. Help them, God, not to continually replay those events in their lives, but to move past that, to give themselves permission to know that you love us more than anything else. You fill those voids and those pain areas. God, we need a touch from you. We thank you that we're not governed by the spirit of rejection. It has no authority.

We're not going to hold back and not speak forth your goodness and your grace. As Carly prayed, by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony, we need to continually press in so people can hear our story. So, God, we choose not to be governed by rejection. We choose not to dwell on the past, but we choose to dwell on your word and to know that you are quickening us. You are strengthening us. You are showing us who we are in you. Yes. We are speaking forth. There are some of you out there right now that God will continually give you the strength and the power to speak forth his word.

There will be breakthrough as you speak it out into existence. We thank you, Father God, that the gates of hell will not prevail. We thank you, God, that we are special in your sight.

We thank you that we have a purpose, that we're not going to go to the grave and allow the spirit of rejection to control our lives. We thank you, God, that we are breakthrough setters because of you. Yes. We thank you, God, that we can go out into society, we can go out to the grocery stores, we can go out into the workforce, and we can be the difference. People will be drawn because they will feel your love. And instead of hiding back and giving into rejection, I choose right now to speak life over your people, that they will walk by faith and not by sight. That you will fill them with a joy and love like never felt before. That they will continue to manifest this, to show this out in the way that they conduct themselves. Thank you, God, that the spirit of rejection has no authority. And as things try to come back, I thank you for the power that you have placed in us to resist it. And we thank you, God, for your presence. We thank you that the Holy Spirit is here with us now.

We thank you, Father God, that we can cry out to you. We thank you, God, that even some of us need to shed tears, that you will you will take those tears and turn them into healing and restoration. We thank you that you're the God that is more than enough. We sit at your feet and we thank you, God. We lay it before you. Some of us are suffering rejection, but God, we're not dwelling there. We're gonna dwell in your presence. We're gonna sit at your feet and we're gonna trust in you. You know exactly what we need. You've made us special.

Help us to continually walk in that authority. And we ask this in Jesus' name.

I'm so grateful for the ability to come to him anytime that we feel any rejection and we can receive his healing and his wholeness. So I challenge you today. We want to challenge you guys to go out and to love people. Okay. We know how bad rejection hurts. So we challenge you to love people, find opportunities for to love those who have been rejected. Maybe you've previously rejected some people in the past. We ask you to go and love on these people. Even if that love, maybe they're not near you, maybe they've passed away, but still in some way, shape, or form, honor that. Honor the love that God has given you. So just go out and look for those opportunities today. If you haven't already, we would love for you to share about our podcast.
